Meet Sierra

I love to help people connect to their bodies and discover their resilience.

Our bodies are always changing, and with that what we do to support them has to evolve as well.

I often work with clients who are navigating pain, injury, hypermobility, or life transitions such as pregnancy and postpartum, and are looking for a more thoughtful and supportive approach to movement.

My work focuses on building a strong, adaptable foundation while helping you better understand how your body moves and what it needs. I want you to feel more in control of your body and confident in a routine that is both sustainable and enjoyable.

I blend of Pilates, Corrective Exercise, and traditional gym exercises to help unlock areas of the body that may not be functioning at their optimal level, contributing to pain or hindering performance.

Movement has the power to reinvigorate.

It is a great passion of mine to share in others journey of movement and all the joy it can bring to your life.

Throughout my career as a dancer, I had to rethink and reassess my body’s needs many, many times. I had to make changes both physically and mentally to continue with the high demand being put on my body.

I had to change my approach and learn to listen more skillfully to my body’s needs. Through this process, I developed tools and different perspectives of the body and healing that I carry with me always.

What people say

“Sierra has a strong foundation in anatomy and movement, and her ability to assess and refine alignment is one of her greatest strengths. She truly listens to her students and tailors each session to their individual needs. As both a physical therapist and Pilates instructor, I have high regard for Sierra’s judgment, professionalism, and the care she brings to her teaching.”

— Robin Stoller, PhD, PT, CPI
Owner, Advantage Physical Therapy

“I came to Sierra with significant chronic pain from postural issues in addition to being postpartum. Three years into our work, she has had a major impact on what I thought was an intractable problem. I have tried four other private trainers and she is truly the best. Whatever energy you invest, you will get back tenfold—she’s truly a gem.”

— Simone
Hypermobile, Postpartum & Chronic Pain Client

“Sierra’s teaching is precise, anatomically grounded, and clearly built on a genuine, advanced understanding of the body. She could identify subtle compensations and imbalances and correct them with instruction that only comes from years of deep expertise. Combining her dancer’s sensibility with rigorous anatomical precision is a rare pairing.”

— Jennifer S. Golia Pernicka, MD
Diagnostic Radiologist

Every workout with Sierra was thoughtfully tailored to exactly what my body needed that day, whether it was hip pain, SI joint dysfunction, pelvic floor weakness, or simply helping me move and feel better. After surgery to repair my diastasis recti, she guided me through rebuilding my strength in a safe, progressive way.

Sierra has an incredible ability to identify the muscles that are weak, the areas that are tight, and the imbalances you didn’t even know existed. I always left each session feeling stronger, more balanced, and more connected to my body. Sierra has made an enormous impact on my health and quality of life.

— Goldie Oren

I am a dance teacher who has worked as a fitness instructor for the past 10 years. I do not exaggerate when I say that Sierra is the teacher who teaches teachers!

Sierra has an amazingly detailed and warm approach to each student and their body. She easily picks up on their strengths and natural weaknesses and helps bring focus to the necessary work to better align, engage, and move the body.

Working with Sierra has helped me become more aware of my alignment as I move through the day and in non-Pilates movement. I have gained confidence and improved as a dancer and even as a teacher for my own students as a result.

— Sofia Rynoso
Hypermobile Dancer & Teacher

Sierra is the trainer you hope to find but rarely do. She approaches each Pilates session with an incredible eye for how the body moves, drawing on her background as a professional dancer to understand movement at a truly expert level. She’s constantly fine-tuning exercises so you get the most out of every motion while staying safe.

I’ve struggled with lower back pain, and her thoughtful adjustments have helped me build visible core stability and strength. On top of that, she’s an absolute joy to be around and makes you feel at ease the moment you walk into the studio. If you get the chance to work with her, take it! Sierra is the best!

— Erin

“Sierra has a keen eye and a generous spirit that makes working with her a dream. As an older client, I find her positive and reassuring nature confidence-building. She provides a safe space to work, and I always feel empowered and renewed after our sessions.”

- Peggy

Sierra is excellent at both Pilates and strength training. She has a strong understanding of body mechanics and gives clear, effective cues that make a real difference. She’s also very creative in her sessions, keeping them engaging and well thought out. She’s warm, kind, and easygoing, and truly a pleasure to work with.
